I will post the other pics of it on my other blog, don't want to bore you with the details but wanted to share with you the PILLOW !!!!! Will I make another again? You bet! I am thinking about doing a couple or maybe four Stockings that were in Pat's magazine for Christmas.
Thanks for looking at it and I even got my sewing machine out to put this beauty together. I have been sewing the pieces together by hand while watching our baseball games.
I do want to thank Janet Ghio my Roses friend of how many years Janet, Pat Winter, Shannon and Kathy for their lace and their goodies and just supplying a lot of these pretties. Shannon and Kathy I cut y'alls beautiful lace in parts and hope didn't over decorate it . I have that tendency, but love sewing on all those beads. Now I cannot forget Geraldinewith her pink flower buttons.
Thanks for stopping by and seeing what is going on in my world today and my fellow author's worlds also.
XOXOX
Annette
Annette, I am speechless....this is beyond beautiful! I just love the pretty lace that you have around the pillow too. I can see why you are willing to make more....simply gorgeous!!!
ReplyDeleteThanks Terri it was so fun.
DeleteBeautiful Annette, I think you have found your calling as one would say, the prettiest work I have seen yet, the colors are gorgeous and the piecing is amazing, a beast no more, in fact you best be giving it a pretty name for sure, "Beauty" I would say! Hugs and I hope it has a red bead or two on it from me:) If not perhaps your next project. Hugs and love Marilou
ReplyDeleteHi Marilou, thanks girl and no red beads on it I am saving those for the Christmas stockings I am fixin to make. Kind of like the ones in Pat's magazine this time that Kathy shared the pattern for. When you sent them I thought CHRISTMAS !!!!!
DeleteAnnette (nette), Your grand pillow is nothing short of stunning. Absolutely exquisite. I love the lace around edge. You created a wonderful piece of art. Congrats.
ReplyDeleteHugs,
(Je)annette (the nette)
Thanks Nette, the lace was a last minute addition, I had some I was saving for it but didn't have enough so had to force myself to go shopping. glad you like it my dear. xo
DeleteAbsolutely fabulous, love your quilt passion, I sew myself, love to be your follower
ReplyDeleteYea another seamtress, so glad we are not a dying breed. You follow this talented crew anytime you want. they are all great. Thanks for stopping by.xox
DeleteHi, Annette: I am speechless. Your pillow is just breathtaking. Beautiful embroidery and beautiful colors. I agree with Marilou it definitely needs an elegant name. It's definitely a pillow fit for a Victorian queen or one of the court ladies during the Rococo Period in France. I LOVE it. :) Linda
ReplyDeleteLOL a court lady will work I do believer. But please not the court of "Cut off her head " era. Glad you like it my dear. xo
DeleteHi Annette...
ReplyDeleteWell..you did it..You finished the ~Texas Size~ pillow..lol. She turned out truly stunning! I am thinkin you might need to just sleep on the sofa..and let her have the whole bed! Just kidding! I love the lace accents and also the lace ruffle you used..it really sets everything off just perfectly. I am thrilled that you chose to include some of my lace in your beautiful piece of work. You should be so proud of the finished product. Can't wait to see what you create next..I am not sure how you are going to out do this pillow..but I am sure your stockings will be just as special. i love the pic you used on the ~other blog~ that shows her on the bed with the head board..it really shows off the size of her I think and makes such a bold statement.
Take care sweet lady..and thankyou so much for sharing ;)
Kind Regards, Shannon
Hi Shannon, loved using your lace and I cut some off, I have a tendency to do that but gave it a place of honor. Can't wait to go to your etsy, I go there often and look and decide what I want. xo
Deletehi Annette,
ReplyDeleteWOW! Your pillow is stunning! I love your color combination and the lace was just the right touch. I saw your headboard on your other blog - fabulous! Your pillow certainly deserves a bed like that!
Thanks Nicki, well sadly it got moved to the dresser top last night, we chose to sleep in the bed instead of the floor. I think she ( the pillow) did well though.
DeleteI can't believe how much you get done. What color is your cape? heehee. Amazing & beautiful!

My Cape is invisible, I don't want it to stand out in our beigh town. LOL Remember I have no job, no children to care for and it is just DH and our two spoiled fur babies here at home. At night we watch the Texas Rangers play, well most of the time they play sometimes I think just their bodies show up maybe a couple of times a year. So no cape just some retired time to catch up on things I didn't do during the years of my business. xoxoxo
DeleteDear Annette... Is truly truly beautiful ... and the colours are so rich ...I love it and have a BIG SMILE on my face...( ha ha).... WOW ..I 'd love to lay my head on that beauty....Hugs
ReplyDeletethanks Zaa, I had to redo the pillow order on the bed,it just didn't shine enough. Now it is front and center and the all blue ones are behind it. glad you have a smile my dear and with your new stash you are beaming ear to ear. xoxp

DeleteOh Annette, this is the first time I am seeing this finished. Wow! I love it all. I was hesitant about sending the sheer dyed applique to the right, but you have made the perfect home for it. I wasn't sure if you would like it but it was meant for your pillow. Wonderful job, I hope photos are coming for the Dec issue???????
