Hello and here is another pillow to greet you. First please excuse the color seems like me and the computer and my camera are having a discussion and hopefully I win. I mean they are just machinery aren't they? Although sometimes I wonder about them, that computers may have a mind of their own and will take over the world. OK I am getting off on the syfy part of my brain and I save that for my other blog. But you do wonder.
Here is a pillow I finally put the finishing touches on. I had started it a while back a but had not finished it because I didn't know who was going to get it. It is now resting in a beautiful home in the UK and I know it will be loved. Funny how we get attached to articles isn't it? After sewing the pastels together my muse seems to take over. I absolutely do not plan one thing on any of the creations I make. They just form themselves, whatever it is I am sewing. I find a ciggie I like and the colors go and grow from there.
This lady is sporting a vintage earring I found at an estate sale, I saved the other one for myself. I just fell in love with the pink and sparkle of it. And it was only $2. I promised the owner's daughters I would create something out of it as pretty as the earrings were. They grinned and said they would tell their mother what I was going to do.
Here is the whole pillow in all it's pastel glory.
A close up of the gal and her flowers and butterfly floating around the garden. I love making the little "trail" they might make for us. Dancing around in the air with their beautiful wings and gracefulness.
Now I had to add of course the garden spider and two little birds visiting about the many things that happens in a birdies life.
There you go one of my newest projects.
Thanks for stopping by and seeing what is going on in my CQ world today.
XOXOXOXOXO
Annette
Your pillow is lovely! I've been crazy quilting for about 2 years now, but haven't made a pillow yet. Will have to add it to my list.
ReplyDeleteArlene you need to just dive in and do it. You can do it and I know will be beautiful. Like Pat said there is no rules for doing CQ and I do beleive that whole heartedly. xooxxo
DeleteAww, I see you have been a busy beaver, beautiful Annette, I think you should go into the CQ business with Pat! Love the colors sweetie:) I need to get back to the blog world more often:)

ReplyDeleteGORGEOUS!!
ReplyDeleteSo pretty and dreamy. Love how you've staged it for the photo.
ReplyDeleteOh my, so pretty. I love the wonderful embellishments you put on it, gorgeous. Hugs, marty
ReplyDeleteSo pretty and I am always a sucker for lovely flowers around a silky! I am the same way with the creating process too, can't plan it out, even if I tried it wouldn't go according to plan anyway! Even ideas will go off in directions I didn't know they would when it gets down to it! LOL I just hate it if I get to a "stuck" point where things are not cooperating and flowing!
DeleteOh Melissa I never have a plan I just let the pillow or whatever I work on take it's own path. If i plan I never go with what it was planned. Different directions are goo, just let your muse take over and you will never go wrong. Thanks for stoppying by. xoxoxo
