Happy Valentines day you crazy ladies!

Happy Valentines Day !

Pat's New Magazine is Out

Hi all,  Pat has given us an early treat with her magazine out for us to look and touch and look again.  Thanks Pat for a beautiful magazine of Crazy quilters.    Here is where you can order it.   It is like to me when you use to get the Sears and Roebuck catalog.   Such an exciting day when the postman deleivered it.  Everything stopped and you had to look at the pages over and over again.   Sadly when we moved a few years ago I had a 1975 catalog and somehow it found it's way to the trash.  but never the less I had lots of good memories about those catalogs.

There is a lady out there in cyber world and her name is Di van Niekerk.  Now y'all may have already know about her but she has some beautiful work.   I just had to share her site with you.   The ribbon work is just beautiful.  The link is a balerina and the detail is to die for.  Thought y'all might like to take a peek also.

There you go,  just a quick post but promise pics soon.   I know you all have been creating to your hearts content and making something beautiful.

Thanks for stopping by and seeing what is going on in my world today.

Hello Denise here,

This is my February block.  After much fooling around with colors and embellishments, I realize I need a lot more practice at this. Sometimes the flowers come out good, other times not so much. But I have to say I am having a really good time.  Love seeing all the posts from our former classmates on Pat's summer classes.

Off for now --Denise

It's February and my block is done and done

Well here is is February already.   Seems like yesterday I was just saying that for 2012.   I have my February block done for the Crazy Quilt challenge of a block a month.  I am making mine 8 inches though instead of the 6 inches.  A little more landscape to fill.   My mother in law years ago made a fan quilt and I thought I want to do that on this little block.  If she were alive today I know she would love having some of these.  So Ona this is for you.   She wasn't a blingie lady, guess she left that to her daughter in law.  I was blingie enough for us both.  It is hard to know when to stop adding to these little treasures but here is my rendition of a fan quilt.

Hope you enjoy looking and taking a peek at it.

I tried to make soft colors here the best I could for Ona.  Her favorite color was green hence the green here.

Thanks for stopping by and seeing what is going on in my part of the world.  Hope you are enjoying the other members beautiful work.

XOXOXO
Annette
